This happened to me with an old sb16 sound card and a mouse.  I
still have the problem, but I find that the problem is alleviated
when I renice my mp3 player to -5 or so.  I don't detect any
interference until *after* using a sound player of some sort (ie
cd player, wav player, or mp3 player).
