I updated gnorpm, but in attempting to update glibc... from 2.1 to 2.2, I
get an error message from rpm:
error: failed dependencies:
rpm <= 4.0-0.65 conflicts with glibc-2.2-12
glibc < 2.2-12 conflicts with glibc-common-2.2-12
I used rpm --force -i glibc-2.2-12.i386.rpm
and rpm --force -i glibc-common-2.2-12.i386.rpm
On the two packages X returns when it fails to start on a 6.1 box I'm trying
to upgrade just "parts" to 7.0. I know this is annoying, but everything but
X is working and that's only for me. The other stuff is working for the
other users just fine through telnet which is the only way they connect
anyway.
Solution anyone?
