I tried installing the RPM only to be hit with
a series of errors claiming that there were conflicts with the Kernel and it
didn't install. I did it again, and forced it to install. Now at
boot up it doesn't tell me that eth0 failed, it just doesn't mention it at
all. Previous to this I have tried compiling all the proper files to make
the new tulip.o and pci-scan.o, but when I ran the make command, it quickly
listed errors and proceeded only to construct pci-scan.o. I thought I
might have had a bad install, so I reinstalled it, but the same problems
happened time and time again.
I am running a Compaq Athlon 500, dual boot with
RH7.0 and Windows 2000, on separate Harddrives. Here is my listing from
