HP recently announced the LP1000r:

We just ordered ~6 of them, but haven't got them yet so I can't provide any
practicle learnings yet.

(Yeah, I work for HP, but not in the NetServer division, so I, like you, am
a consumer of these servers and get no special treatment just because I work
in HP (88K+ employees).  I actually get less support from HP than "real"
customers who pay full price (Yeah, I do get them cheaper than anyone else,
thats the only benifit))
