how to configure two network cards

Hello every body,

If any body have the idea on how to install two NIC on LINUX 6.2 then
tell me how to do the configuration. I was able to install both of 3COM
PCI NIC's but only one is working and when ever I unplug the working one
then the other one statrts to work.

Kindly let me know if there is some extra configuration needed for
installing two LAN cards.
