Use the "date" and "hwclock" commands, to wit:

su - # if you are not already root
date 07060855 # current time here as MMDDhhmm - add 2001 if needed
hwclock --systohc --utc # this sets the hardware clock

"man date" and "man hwclock" for more info.  date sets the software
clock; hwclock (as used here) sets the hw clock from the system
clock.
