I just installed Red hat 7.1, and already broke it. I switched my mouse in
the config panel to be a USB mouse, which it is not. I was trying to get the
scroll to work. The system ran fine until I re started. Now I windows
doesn't load.
Where it normally shows a command loin, then goes to GI, its cashing, and
says switching to run level 3, sending processes the term signal. Then
starting LSD (might be id, can't read my writing) and then says no printer
defined, until I hit enter. Then I can login through command.
On startX, it crashes and says that no core pointer is registered, and
something else about the mouse crashing. On shutdown, it fails on shutting
down console mouse services. I'm pretty sure the mouse is the problem
So, I looked in my XF86Config file, and it has the mouse listed as IMPS/2.
SO i looked in the XF86Config-4 file, and it doesn't have anything about the
mouse listed, but did have something about Keyboard0 and coreKeyboard. Is
this where something is wrong? Anyone know? Should there be something about
a mouse in the XF86Config-4 file. (I have a 2 button with scroller, logitech
ps/2).
Thanks,
