Re: keybord do not move !!!



I had a linux box do that once and my solution was to swap out the
motherboard, pretty drastic. I believe it was an resource conflict (IRQ or
some such) but, since it would not boot up, I could not check
/proc/interrupts to see. I didn't try linux single at the time to check it
out.
You could try entering linux single at the lilo prompt and see if it boots
that way. If so, then snoop around and look for any indications of
the problems.
Or, if you have several cards installed, try removing non-essential ones
(like a sound card) and see if it boots. If it does, then reinstall the
removed cards one at a time until it locks again. Then you'll know which
one is causing the problem.
In my situation, the motherboard had only three PCI slots and I had them
filled. Apparently that was too much for it. I swapped the motherboard
only, left everything else the same, and it booted right up.
