help!

Hi all
       I have Intel 810 chipset ac97,everything was
fine, but once due to sudden spike, its not playing
sound now, in windows too..now i have redhat 7.1 on
it., i have yamaha soundcard and want to use it..can i
do this inspite of ac97(Cirrus crystal) i.e Integrated
sound(Intel 810).
when i fixed the  yamaha card in one of the slots it
detected the card(kudzu)..and changed the modules.conf
file but still no sound..??

my modules.conf looks like this (etc is ok so please
just see the sound-slot thingee)

alias eth0 tulip
alias parport ...etc
alias sound-slot-0 cs42xx
pre install ..etc
post install ..etc
alias sound-slot-1 ymfpci
pre install...etc
post install..etc

can anybody please tell me is it possible to use
second soundcard in integrated motherboards..
