RE: delaying eth0 initialization

Drew,
I am aware of that. I am in a situation of remote support. I MUST
be able to send install CDs to my clients and let them install the
base or do the upgrade. I can then telnet in and do the rest.
Unfortunately, if the distro CDs don't auto-detect the NIC, I can't
telnet in... and neither the upgrade or base install will install (or
maintain) the network.
