hi adi,

an rpm of 35 megs is really a very big job for a
dialup connection. i have another thing to tell u. go
to IBM's web site & there go to developer works, there
u would be able to see the developer cd ad, which is
available for free from IBM, they will ship that for u
free of cost. i received that in Pakistan exaclty on
time. 

the tools including in that are IBM JDK, IBM Visualage
Java, SmallTalk & many more tools. all these tools are
for linux/windows. i installed those on my linux box &
it worked really fine :-).
