It depends on the speed of the connection, ie 36K modem or 56k modem, and
to speed things up you can try a download accelrator for linux called
Prozilla <prozilla.delrom.ro> which speeds things up by splitting the
download file in to a number of conenctions, then it makes multiple
connections to the server and downloads the file, thus usually giving you
a much higher download speed than conventional single threaded based
download tools like wget etc.
