Installing/re-installing gcc/g++ on Linux 7.1

[Liger-dc <liger_dc yahoo com>]

For some reason it seems I didnt install gcc or g++
the first time I installed 7.1 and I just downloaded
gcc from the website and unzipped and untarred it but
linux doesnt seem to recognize it when I try to
compile things using make. Any help will be greatly
appreciated.
