Hi.
I have worked a lot with Compaq hardware and I'm not completely sure this
is a linux issue. What you should do before you continue is to upgrade the
system bios on your proliant server. After that run your Smartstart CD and
let it detect all hardware and have it install it's system partition on
the harddrive and then when it asks which OS you want to run on the server
choose "other" or unix. By default Compaq only detect 16Mb memory if you
havn't runned system setup (Smartstart CD). Hope this helps.
