Both iptables and ipchains are compiled as modules, however, ipchains
is loaded by default.  If you do a lsmod, you'll see the ipchains module
loaded. Configure RedHat to not load ipchains on boot (I think by chkconfig
or some such tool) and then set up your iptables rules.  iptables wont load
if the ipchains module is already loaded.
