Need help desperately..."in swapper task - not syncing'

Hello, i run red hat 7.0 on am AMD K-6 500MHZ. this is what happened i was trying to fix my memory setting. my computer is running very slow because there is not enough free memory so i think i messed up /etc/lilo.conf. i am not sure. also i might have messed up sbin/lilo.conf. i am not sure. i get when i boot up "kernel panic..." "in swapper task- not syncing". i tried the solutions mention on bugzilla for red hat 6.2 but it did not work. 

any help would be greatful.
