Scanner & Net Problems..

hello,

i have an acer prisa 6210 scanner, how could i install
that on my redhat 7.1 through SANE?

when i try to connect to the internet my modem dials
up to my isp, but after some time i get the error of
"no carrier" & disconnects. what to do with this "no
carrier"?
