If you can boot for it you'r fine, other wise you need a floppy
or IDE-CD you can boot from to install.
Windows has the same issue, so how did you install
windows on the machine?
As for troubles/boot disks:
I've never used one. One machine is Linux
only, and the other I installed Windoze first.
