RE: Help with chmod

If this issue is being caused by the fact of my not "formatting" the drive,
can you give me an example of what I would type to format an 8GB drive pls
?? man mke2fs doesnt give me any examples of how to use the command so I am
not too sure on what to use, the last time I formatted a hard disk during a
strange linux install I set the parameters wrong and killed the drive, so I
would sooner not do that again :-)
