Multiple Linuxes?

I'm interested in testing multiple distributions of Linux on my PC. My
question: can I share Linux Swap space and/or a /home partition between
RedHat, Debian, Mandrake, etc?

Thanks,

Bryan

Hi, Miroslav,

I still remember how helpful the Linux+WindowsNT mini-HOWTO was when I
started my journal of Linux. Thanks a lot for the nice job.

I am running RedHat 7.0 with Windows 2000 Professional. Also, I have
helped couple of my friends to finish the same task.

There are some experience that I'd like to share:
1. Don't mess with the Win2K partition, at least, don't change anything
before the Win2K't booting partition. I nearly always ended up not being
able to boot up Win2K after such operations.
2. If the Win2K is going to be installed after the Linux, make sure you
have the current boot disk for the Linux. You need it to get the Linux,
and recover LILO if preferred.
3. About partition, the best solution for me is to make a small boot
partition for Linux, and then give one or multiple partitions for Win2K,
and the rest for Linux. Windows, probably not Win2K, need to boot from
an active partition.

That's about all I can come up right now. I am on the edge of spring
break from school, so can't focus on the stuff that I did a while ago.

Hope that this could be of any help.

Again, thanks for the nice job that you have done for the community.
