I will be little help here, but here goes: I know you must determine
whether your card is ens1370 or ens1371. I think there is a command
like scanpci that will show it in the list. Kernel has setup options
for either under the Sound section. After that I am lost: my sound,
with ens1371 card was fine until I upgraded to kernel 2.4.2. 2.4.0, as
I recall was ok. I run SuSE, and the configuration tool here now cannot
find my card, or if it does, cannot properly configure it. I get sound
as you describe. What kernel are you running? Richard
