 I can tell you that lilo (the one that comes with RH7) doesn't give me any 
trouble on my system (RedHat 7, RedHat 6.2 various kernels, SuSE 6.4, (no *BSD 
yet,) Windows 98 and since a month or so Windows 2000, so since then the 2000 
bootloader came in place of the 98 bootloader, but I didn't have troubles 
before either). There must be something else going on...
 I hope you don't run to Bugzilla, because in this case that would probably be 
a waste of time and energy (at least at this stage).
