dns is on, but not configured,
near as i can tell

ok, it looks like 'files' is first in almost
all the entries in nsswitch.conf
i attached it so you can see it.
it seems dns _is_ on (S60)
i've tried apropos dns, bind, named

does this info go in a zone file ?,
like localhost.zone listed
in /etc/named.conf
that is mentioned in the named man page ?
could you give me an example entry ?
