Login as root and run setup to configure your system data format.
Then, create a cron file for root by running:
# crontab -e
with the following lines:
0 12 * * * /usr/bin/rdate -s clock.psu.edu
5 12 * * * /sbin/clock -w
That will give your system a daily update of the time and write it to the
CMOS clock. Of course, this works only if you have internet access at noon
every day.
