I get the boot screen with the prompt:
boot:
wether I just hit enter or I type expert and then
press enter the following happens:
Loading initrd.img.................
vm
linuz ......
Boot failed: please change disks and press any key
to continue.
Arrrrggghhh!! Is this a bad boot
disk?
So now I try to make a new boot disk....I need help
here as well please!!
I have win98 on a 2GB partition. I have a
FAT16 2GB partition I am trying to put RH6.1 onto.
I also have an ATAPI CDROM that linux will not see
no matter what I do even if I specify at boot with the following: linux
hdc=cdrom so lost here.
So what I do is put my win98 boot disk in and start
with CDROM support.
That is the ONLY way I can find out how to get to
see the CDROM.
In MSDOS I go in there and go to dosutils and then
use rawrite and the machine just sits there.
Please help!!!
Still trying to enter the Linux world and
completely lost here.
