Re: Netscape SMTP password

Weird... do you have a strange situation like having different
userid/passwds for sending and receiving mail?  Honestly, I have been
using Netscape on Linux since some of the 3.x releases (Netscape
releases) and have never ran into that specific problem.  It might be
worthwhile to perhaps spend some quality time w/ the man pages for
tcpdump and run a tcpdump session while you connect and see if anything
in the way of odd messages pop out at you.  If you don't like cli
programs, you could d/l and use 'ethereal', a gtk-based program w/
similar functionality.
