HELP ! Mouse refuse to MOVE

Hi list

I am VERY NEW to Linux and just started to experience it in the past few
days. I installed PhatLinux on my PC and while loading into XWindows, my
mouse just refuse to do its jobs and move around the desktop.

I have a Logitech MouseMan, Serial Version - which I correctly configure
using the configuration tools at the startup.

Any idea how to solve the problem?




In addition, I have tried to install Linux Mandrake on my harddisk also.
I downloaded the over 1G files into my harddisk and run the setup from
there. The setup runs fine until while it is trying to do the partitioning
of the harddisk. It just hanging there while asking me to press 'OK' to
continue with the partition and 'CANCEL' to abort the operation... I can't
do anything else other than resetting the PC.

Any idea what is the problem?
