Do i just do a #mkdir /etc/skel/Maildir as root ? What about permissions ?

Fetchmailconf does not ask me to specify the mail spool directory .
Fetchmail polls mail
and I don't know where it saves the mail . /var/spool/anurag is NOT created
automatically .
In getmailrc i have specified the spool directory to be
/var/spool/mail/anurag ...it fetches the
mail but exits saying 'destination directory does not exist '
Thanks
