Can't run zgv

Hi All,

I installed zgv-5.1-5 just fine. But I can only run it as root.
As a regular user, it gives the no I/O permission error msg whenever 
I try to run it:     

svgalib: Cannot get I/O permission.

Funny that I ran the cmd below to capture the error message from zgv
into error.txt: zgv 2> error.txt

... and this is what I got. 

zgv: not running on console and no free VTs found.

Any ideas on a fix? Thanks.
