Pointers on building stripped down machines

Hi,
   I'm wondering if anyone knows of a pointer to instruction on building the
most stripped down machines possible using Redhat 7.0. Optimally these
machines would have no floppy, CD, mouse, keyboard or graphics adapter. They
would be networked.

   Potentially the hard disk could be built in another system and then put
in these stripped down box, if necessary.
