Hi,
I have my printer configured and tested for printing with the
printtool command but I can't get it to run even as root.
But I've tried printing from within StarOffice 5.2 which works fine.
The error msg goes like this:
Status Information:
sending job 'hgf3 localhost+938' to HP710C localhost
connecting to 'localhost', attempt 1
connected to 'localhost'
requesting printer HP710C localhost
job 'hgf3 localhost+938' transfer to HP710C localhost failed
error 'NONZERO RFC1179 ERROR CODE FROM SERVER' with ack 'ACK_FAIL'
sending str '^BHP710C' to HP710C localhost
error msg: 'spool queue for 'hp710c' does not exist on server localhost.localdomain'
error msg: ' non-existent printer or you need to run 'checkpc -f''
I checked the $PRINTER environment variable which is set to HP710C.
Does anyone have any idea how I could fix this?
Thanks, as always.
