I think you need to upgrade to 7.0 first. Might work on 6.2 but I guess it is
a lot easier to install kernel 2.4.2 on 7.0.
You can find the kernel rpm's on RawHide
(ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/rawhide/i386/RedHat/RPMS/, or better try a mirror
near to you).
I think just downloading the kernel and modutils rpms would probably be fine,
but you might want to upgrade glibc. Do not upgrade the new kernel, but
install it next to the old one (using rpm -i not rpm -F). If you screw up you
can boot back to your old kernel (if you left an entry in lilo.conf).
