RE: Desktop

Jared,

You need to do a fair bit of reading on the
XF86 stuff. It's to do with your monitor resolution
and your video card. You are lucky that you even got to
that stage. My video card was not supported, and I had
to do everything manually. So, download the reading material
of XF86 and stuff and read about it.

Lotsa Luck,
David.

hey all, ima newbie to Linux and i installed it last night, and im
experiencing troubles with the viewing area of the desktop

when i fist load into linux it will give me an approx 1inch black border
around the outside and inside when you want to view the say top right hand
side of the desktop (because i cant see the top right hand, or the whole
desktop). I have been told that perhaps this could be a driver fault that i

am experiencing (i put in the incorect memory value on the video card) and i

check on the redhat site and it supports my card

so i have no idea what is going on.

thanks
Jared
