Re: Kernel 2.4 on RH 6.2



Hi Jeff.

If you had read my answer a little more seriously you should have noticed
I didn't mention on how to upgrade the kernel. I just told him what to
upgrade to "support" the 2.4 kernel tree. Thuz rpm -Uvh
modutils-x.x.x.rpm. I wouldn't ever use a rpm-kernel-update. A kernel
should always be optimized and manually compiled to fit ones need. And as
you see the old kernel will be saved this way. So before jumping to
conclusions please read it more carefull next time =)
