There's a series of utilities that start with "wv" like "wvHTML" and "wvTEXT"
that are used to convert different MS Word documents into HTML or plain text.
I don't have access to my linux machine right now, so I can't say what the
names are exactly and precisely.
As long as you can detach the MSWord attachment, you can convert it to whatever
you'd like.
