Then what is it plugged into?
Honestly, go and get a cheap generic IDE cdrom drive, and plug it in to
the IDE chain. I dont know if your BIOS will support booting from the
CDROM tho, so you will then have to get to a running machine, and make a
boot disk if you dont already have one, and boot from teh floppy.
Trust me, if you have one of those nasty proprietary CDROMs that plugs
into a soundcard, then you are going to have lots of fun anyway later on,
so it is just better to save yourself the trouble and go ahead and buy an
IDE ATAPI compliant CDROM.
