Anoyone remember trhe option to disable athlon optimizations?
I think it's just 'noathlon'
Some VIA based Athlon motherboards cannot boot
the athlon kernels. They cannot handle the memory
bandwidth correctly.
Not sure it would be a problem with the installer
but it's worth a try. You could also try booting
from a floppy, to see if the kernel there is nicer.
