Hello everybody,
I want to install the RH 7.2 on my IBM ThinkPad A20p, and use an Adaptec
SlimSCSI 1480B CardBus.
The installer freezes the machine at the "Loading SCSI driver/Loading
aic7xxx driver..." (Note I switched on my SCSI device before switching
on the laptop, and checked terminator, as required by the SCSI
protocol).
The problem is the same with RH 7.1: I can install without the cardbus,
but then I have to recompile the kernel to enable SCSI support, and I
fail to get a bootable kernel, _even given any parameter (under make
xconfig)_...
Any clue?
