eth deleted by mistake

i deleted by mistake all hardware devices from gnone "network configuration"
hoping kudzu will autodetect them on next boot. kudzu detected nothing.

there began my problem. i browsed through the "net adm guide" and ethernet
howtos but found nothing of interest. then i bumped into linux modprobe and
insmod commands.

what is happening now is that at bootup insmod gives some error that dont
interests me.

"modprobe eth0" gives error something like: "..wrong_param_irq.."

but when i run "insmod 8139too" first "modeprobe eth0" gives nothing and the
ifconfig shows the card. but when i reboot everything repeats.

i am confused.

can somebody tell me a way to install my card correctly
