Random "missing files" on RH8 install

I am trying to install rh8 onto a dual p3 1ghz machine with 768MB ram and
maxtor ata100 60gb hd. I am using a samsung cdrw. I keep getting missing
file errors. In particular the dreaded "/mnt/source/.discinfo" error from
anaconda with a install error. It happens at random points in the install.
Any ideas?
