FTP install using Xircom RBE-100

I am trying to install RH Linux 8.0 on a ThinkPad 600
laptop which has a Xircom CardBus Ethernet adapter
(RBE-100). However I think the card is not recognized
since, even after I have supplied the diskette created
from pcmciadd.img, it gives options to install only
from CDROM or Hard Disk. How can I get it to recognize
my network card?

Alternatively, I may be able to install from a CD. In
that case, is there an RPM available for the RBE-100?
