Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with what the system performance
issues might be with running a swap file under Linux as opposed to a
dedicated swap partition?
I don't actually know that this is an option, but someone asked me
and I was curious.
Swap partitions are typically faster than swap files, but the
difference is small under most loads.
Oops! I forgot to add that, yes, both partitions and files are
supported under Linux.
