Oh, lordy! Well, it can be used to replace /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow
(sorta like NIS). It can be used as a calendar, address book, recipe
file, and hundreds of other uses (I'm starting to sound like Ron
Popeil!). It can be used to store almost any kind of information that
lends itself to a tree-style organization
We use it as a combination /etc/passwd, mail option, forwarding,
autoresponder storage for our 12,000-domain, 95,000 user virtual email
system
