ftp access in Red Hat 7.2

Hi All,

I have installed RH 7.2 on a IA-32 Workstation.I am
trying to ftp to the same from my laptop but it says 
"Connection reset by peer".

How do i enable ftp access to my laptop running Win
2K.

Please respond.

Also how can i find my kernel version & how can i
build/upgrade my kernel module.
