Could be for many reasons, my reason is simply that my folders are for
maintaining messages I intend to keep. I don't want messages in my
folders that I do not intend to keep, and I think creating a cascading set
of folders is ridiculous....
inbox
/computer
/redhat
/keep
Way too deep for my tastes...
I like
inbox
/linux
/freebsd
/....
etc.
So everything comes into my inbox and I read down through it from the top
every day, then move the messages I want to keep, over to their respective
folders when I'm done reading them, or don't want them hanging out in my
inbox anymore.
For me, personally, I like subject headers because it very clearly lets me
see what is list traffic, and what is not.
