RH8 on Asus A7A266

I have managed to install RH8 on an Asus A7A266 motherboard with dual ATA100
drives. The only minor snag is that I can only boot from a floppy not from
the drive even though I have GRUB installed and the boot loader in the MBR.

When I try to boot off the hard drive the word GRUB appears on the screen and
the system just hangs at that point.

Im assuming I have to tell GRUB where my idebus is? How do I find out the
correct boot parameters and tell GRUB to pass these to the kernel on boot?
