Creating CDs from .iso 8.0 install images

I have a question on how best to create the CD disks from the downloaded 
images.

* I downloaded the 3 iso images from the web site and checked their 
checksums locally (good).
* I downloaded and installed BlindWrite CD burning software onto my 
WinXP system and burned the CDs into 700MB CD-R disks.
* I did a test boot with the first disk and the installation started, 
however, it reported that the disks "FAILED" their check and should not 
be used.

Can someone give me any insight as to what the boot time check is 
verifying? Any suggestions on how best to get good disks created, 
including paying the $$$ to have the pre-built for me:)
