Hello list
I've a strange problem end any help would be appreciated.
I've a box with two disks. The first as Win XP installed and when I decided
to try the Linux I've formatted the second with only one partition and
leaving about 20 GB of free space for Linux. Next thing I've installing
Linux without any problem, but the other partition on Linux disk as lost the
file system, and is reported both from Linux and WinXP as a unknown file
system, so I've re-formatted it and everything goes well. A few days later I
ve mess-up tying to install Nvidia drivers, so I reinstall Linux, with the
option, to erase Linux partitions. Again the installation went well but the
file system on the second disk disappear again and I've been forced to
re-format it.
Someone please give me a hint how to prevent this from happen, or in the
future I'm forced to transfer all the data to CD-RW before a Linux clean
install, witch is very annoying.
TIA
Albertino
