While it is fun on the one hand, it's a crap load of work on the other. I
love tech, but dealing with end users has been a mixed bag *grumble* I can
pass on what I've picked up if you like. It's not all that hard, just a lot
of continuous work. Mostly in user support :) I have a fairly simple set
up for dial-up access running here in Houston, TX. Just one channelized T-1
for dial in, and 1 T-1 for internet access. A Cisco router and four linux
boxes for various tasks. I must say, its an expensive business to get
started in, and takes a while just to get where you break even. The
administration involved at this size is fairly minimal, except for security.
*laugh* Damned if I didn't plug in the system, and find over a dozen hack
attempts before I finished logging in and reading through /var/log/messages!
:) Gotta love all those blessed cracker children...
