Just wanted to say thanks to both you and ABrady for the pointers.... got it
going.
In case you're interested, I did "mkbootdisk 2.4.2-2 --device /dev/fd0" on
old PC that boots OK. Then, dropped that disk into the faster PC with Linux
on the D drive and typed "linux root=/dev/hdb5" and it worked!
Now, if I can just get it to detect the modem..... :-)
